stoney lonesome farm

On March 6, UFVDC visited the Stoney Lonesome Farm. SLF is a CSA farm in Prince William County, VA, and is run by Pablo and Esther Elliott.  At the farm they both grow a variety of vegetables and keep some livestock, such as horses and goats.

Unfortunately, when UFVDC visited the farm, it was pouring rain.  Nevertheless, as soon as we arrived, Pablo took us on a tour of the perimeter of the farm.

It's at this point that I would make a "Singing in the Rain" joke.

Pfft. Sunny days are for the weak.
After we had walked the whole perimeter of the farm, we went inside the farmhouse and sorted through the garlic that Pablo had harvested in order to see what we could replant and what was only good to eat.  If the garlic was too soft, it couldn't be replanted, but at least we could still eat it.
Nothing like a crateful of garlic to clear your sinuses.

Yum?
